With difficulties on the pitch, little communication off it and the impending season ticket changes hanging over the fanbase, it’s been a tough few months to be a Burnley fan.
Full credit goes to all members that have been travelling up and down the country supporting the team recently.
The February newsletter will follow the familiar format of the four priorities set by members:
We are keen that this newsletter meets the needs of members – please send any feedback or tell us what you’d like to hear more about in upcoming newsletters by replying directly to this email.

In Brief – This month (Feb)
We have seen a positive change to how the ticket exchange operates following our recent Ticketing Survey, issued a final call for committee nominations ahead of our first AGM and set the date for an initial meeting with an Espanyol supporters group.
In Brief – Last month (Jan)
We gave the full results of our Ticketing Survey, sent out the notice of the first BFCISA AGM and notified members on further changes to matchday access and exit arrangements at Turf Moor.

Ticketing
Ticket exchange made fairer
In the January newsletter, we shared the results of our Ticketing Survey, which showed that 72% of respondents felt it was unfair that the club’s ticket exchange system did not list supporter resale tickets until all other tickets had been sold by the club.
Since publishing those results, BFCISA are pleased to see that this appears to have changed. Based on our own testing, season ticket resale tickets now seem to be listed at the same time as other unsold tickets.
We will continue to monitor this closely.
A big thank you to all members who completed the survey and highlighted this key issue.
No news (or response) on ticket changes
Supporters remain no clearer on proposed season ticket changes for next season.
While the consultation process with the club-appointed Fan Advisory Board (FAB) concluded in November (covering potential price rises, a direct debit surcharge, changes to concessions, and auto-enrolment for cup games), no outcome or timeline has been communicated.
We also note with concern that, despite BFCISA contacting the club on 17th December 2025 regarding both the proposals and the lack of transparency around the consultation process, we have still received no response.

Supporter Representation & Communication
Meeting with Espanyol Supporters Group
In October 2025, Velocity Sports Partners (VSP), the sports investment arm of ALK Capital, purchased a majority stake in Spanish club RCD Espanyol, effectively placing Burnley FC, without fan consultation, in a multi-club ownership model.
Since then, we have been working towards building a relationship with Espanyol fan groups in the interests of shared knowledge and solidarity.
We are delighted that the Steering Group will be meeting next week to share experiences of the ownership, discuss the futures of both our clubs and establish a connection to work together going forward.
Fans working together to support fans is at the heart of what we do.
We will update members following this meeting.

Final call to stand for the BFCISA committee
The deadline for members to nominate themselves for the first ever democratically elected BFCISA committee closes this Sunday (8th Feb), ahead of our Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 23 March 2026.
We strongly encourage all members to consider putting themselves forward, regardless of experience. Whether you follow from afar or attend home and away regularly, the ISA benefits from a wide range of perspectives across our diverse supporter base.
Committee roles are voluntary, with meetings currently held online once a fortnight for around 90 minutes.
If more than 12 members stand, a ballot will be held so members can elect the committee.
Follow the link here to submit your nomination  it takes just a few minutes and includes a short statement on why you are interested.

Ground Facilities & Issues
Matchday experience requests
For recent away fixtures, we have been asking members to share feedback on their matchday experience at grounds across the country.
We have collated this feedback and passed it on to Supporter Liaison Officers (SLOs) at the relevant clubs.
While many experiences have been positive, this process has also helped highlight concerns around over-policing, long queues at turnstiles, and excessive searching which are issues that appear to be increasing across the game.
As an Independent Supporters Association, our role is to put Burnley supporters first, but we also value members’ contributions to improvements in supporter experience more broadly.
Please continue to send us any feedback, positive or negative, following matches.
BFCISA continues to push for better matchday arrangements
As members will be aware, BFCISA have been concerned about the changes to access and exit routes on matchdays at the Turf. We are pleased to see our calls for away team coaches to be moved and additional exits to be introduced heard by the club.
Our representative on the Safety Advisory Group at the club, in the most recent meeting, has continued to push for extra signage around the new exit located behind the corner of the Jimmy Mac and North stands.
Although introduced earlier this year, it has been underreported by the club leaving most supporters unaware and still travelling all the way around the ground to exit.

Heritage and Branding
As BFCISA continues to grow, we are looking at new ways to bring supporters together and strengthen our collective voice.
We have some exciting plans for members that we hope will inform and engage fans on issues affecting the club. We look forward to sharing more details soon.
